Energy Star
ENERGY STAR is the government-backed symbol for energy-efficiency, jointly managed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Department of Energy. They developed an ENERGY STAR label to help consumers easily identify residential products that save energy and money, and help protect the environment.
Products labeled with the ENERGY STAR logo have met stringent guidelines for energy efficiency, promoting only the most technologically advanced and energy-efficient products. Generally, only the top 25% of products in each category earn the label.
Look for the ENERGY STAR logo on SIMKAR Exit Signs and fluorescent lighting fixtures.
Fluorescent lamps contain mercury. Be sure to properly dispose of your used fluorescent bulbs by bringing it to your local hazardous waste collection site or by sealing the bulb in a plastic bag and disposing with other trash.
