ENERGY EFFICIENT EXIT LIGHTS

Energy-Efficient Exit Signs

The SIMKAR exit signs listed below have passed the ENERGY STAR requirements. In fact, they passed with watts to spare. The SLED and SEL draw only 3 watts per fixture!

SLED - LED Exit Sign
SLEDBRW
SLEDARW - Pending
SLEDBGW
SLEDAGW

Energy Star

SEL - Edge Lit Exit Sign
SELB1GA
SELA1GA
SELB1RA
SELA1RA

SIMKAR energy efficient exit signs and emergency lights don't stop there. Our SCLI Combo in normal operation and our SDC Die-Cast LED exit draw less than 4 watts per fixture! Don't forget about our SSL Self-Luminous exit, which provides ABSOLUTE energy savings because they require no electrical energy source!

Why choose a SIMKAR ENERGY STAR labeled Exit Sign?

  • Environmental benefits.
Through the use of ENERGY STAR labeled exit signs, companies could save 800 million kilowatts of electricity per year, a total savings of almost $70 million each year and reducing greenhouse gases, preventing air pollution and global warming.1
  • Dollars and cents (sense)!
We recommend using the ENERGY STAR exit sign calculator, which compares operating and total life cycle costs of energy efficient LED exit signs with antiquated incandescent. The calculator can be found online at www.epa.gov/nrgystar/purchasing/calculators/exit-main.html.

What makes SIMKAR Exit Signs ENERGY STAR?

  • Luminance contrast ratio must be greater than 0.8.
  • Average luminance must be greater than 15 cd/m2 measured at normal (0°) and 45° viewing angles.
  • Minimum luminance must be greater than 8.6 cd/m2 measured at normal (0°) and 45° viewing angles.
  • Maximum to minimum luminance must be less than 20:1 measured at normal (0°) and 45° viewing angles.
  • Exit Signs must have a five-year (from the date of purchase) manufacturer's warranty for defective parts.
