How to identify other High Efficient Lighting?

Energy Saving Luminares — Check out our Energy Star product listings or choose a fixture with T8 or T5 electronic technology. Electronic ballasts operate fluorescent lamps more efficiently with quieter and cooler operation, while producing colors that look truer longer, and consume less energy.

Operate Efficiently — Provide light in proportion to the energy consumed. One measure of efficiency is Lumens-per-watt (LPW). To calculate LPW—System Lumens/Input Watts. Luminaire Efficacy Rating (LER) is another method of describing the efficiency of a luminaire in terms of rated light output (in lumens) per watt of electricity use. To calculate LER—
(Rated Lamp Lumens x Ballast Factor x Luminaire Efficiency)/Input Watts

SIMKAR notes LER in our photometric information on our product specifications.

Finally, Appropriately Designed for the Application — In addition to general application lighting, other types of fixtures should be considered depending on the activities taking place in the application. Additional task, vertical surface and controls have been seen to affect occupant satisfaction. SIMKAR offers a FREE lighting layout software, SIMPLY INDOOR, to support the designed use of SIMKAR's High Efficient Lighting!
