Simkar is proud to announce a family of demanding environment T5/T8 luminaires that will stand up to the nasty forces of wind, water, temperature extremes, dust, salt, and abuse. Simkar's weatherproof EN3 Series luminaires are a low profile design and are 14-1/2" wide and 52" long and are perfect for areas that need high light levels or high mounting heights.
You have choices of 4 or 6 lamp versions to meet your lighting needs. The housings are made of custom reinforced, thermal-set polyester that is corrosion resistant and will withstand extreme abuse and neglect. A tough injection molded, clear, 100% certified High Impact acrylic gives you a tough, non-yellowing lens that will exceed your expectations.
An optional injection molded, UV stabilized polycarbonate lens is also available. The sealing flanges of the injected molded lenses were designed to work in conjunction with our custom formulated foam-in-place, closed cell polyurethane gasket. This gasket is a seamless gasket that chemically attaches to the housing and is robotically applied to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability.
As a result of this design system, we have been able to achieve a number of impressive certifications: dual IP66/67 ratings for a dust free luminaire capable of high pressure washdown, NEMA 4X ideal for marine environments, and NSF high pressure wash down for splash zone food processing areas.
