SIMKAR proudly introduces 4 new series of fluorescent and incandescent under-cabinet luminaries that are up to the task of illuminating work surfaces in home, office, commercial and industrial applications. There is a new series for every application including, the MINI, a uniquely narrow, electronic T5 task light, the LINX, a linkable task light integrating next generation T5 lamps in an easy to conceal profile, and the all-purpose rugged SLIM Series. We've also added stylish line voltage compatible, incandescent under-cabinet fixtures featuring the crisp, dimmable bright white light and the exceptional color rendition of halogen and xenon lamps.

MINI SERIES—1" Deep, Miniature T5 Electronic Task

The MINI's series, with a 1" deep profile, combines a compact electronic ballast and T5 lamps to produce instant-on, flicker & shadow-free illumination using up 20% less energy than fixtures with magnetic ballasts. The MINI's narrower profile, just 3-1/2" wide, makes it easier to mount and conceal while providing maximum design flexibility for demanding home, office and commercial applications requiring excellent color rendition, efficient operation and long lamp life. Available in 5 lengths, nominal 12", 22" 24", 33" and 42", the MINI, made of post-painted, cold rolled steel with a stay-white, snap tight acrylic diffuser, can be ordered with optional T5 lamps installed. LINX SERIES—Ultra-bright, Linkable T5 Task

The LINX, a linkable, modular lighting system combining an ultra-compact electronic ballast and next generation, linear T5 lamps, sets the new standard for brilliant illumination in a tiny easy to conceal profile (just 7/8"W x 1-3/4"H) cutting 80% from the space normally required for fluorescent task lighting. The LINX features labor-saving plug together installation and premium T5 linear lamps (14W, 21W or 28W) that provide greater light output, improved color rendition and longer lamp life versus standard T5 preheat lamps. Plug-N-Play installation allows for plug together linking with instant electrical connection to create continuous lighting runs of up to 10 units from a single power connection. Units can be linked together end-to-end using a straight connector or spaced apart with a 6" flexible connector to continue runs around corners or obstructions. The LINX, made of polycarbonate with a clear, snap tight acrylic diffuser, is available in 4 sizes; nominal 14", 23", 36" and 47" and comes with T5 cool white lamp, an integral rocker switch, a direct connector & 6" linking connector, and a 6' power cord.      :: features and ordering

SLIM SERIES—2" Deep, All Purpose, T8 & T12 Task

The SLIM series, with a 1-7/8" deep profile, is designed ruggedly for commercial and industrial applications and is available in 4 lengths to accommodate all popular T8 and T12 lamp types commonly found in industrial and commercial facilities, reducing the number of lamps on the maintenance schedule. The SLIM, made of post-painted cold rolled steel with a stay-white, snap tight acrylic diffuser is available in 4 lengths; nominal 18", 24", 36" and 48". An optional rocker switch and grounded convenience outlet are available as an accessory kit for field installation.      :: features and ordering

XLINE & HLINE SERIES—Line Voltage, Xenon and Halogen Task

The XLINE & HLINE Series, line voltage "ready", xenon and halogen task lights, produce dimmable crisp, bright white, color-perfect light, using standard line voltage. With transformer-less operation, XLINE and HLINE units can be smoothly dimmed with a standard incandescent dimmer. The line voltage xenon tasks include—xenon lamps, the latest break through in task lighting technology widely perceived as being brighter than fluorescent and cooler than halogen. The XLINE's xenon lamp(s), with a small amount of xenon gas added to the glass envelope to increase lamp life, emit no harmful UV rays and operate at safer, low pressure than halogen. This makes the XLINE series the preferred incandescent task lighting platform.

The XLINE & HLINE, made from cold rolled steel with color matching injection molded end caps, are available in 4 lengths; nominal 8", 16" 24" and 33" (1, 2, 3 and 4 lamp configurations) and come with a clear prismatic glass diffuser, 20W xenon or 35W halogen lamp(s) and an integral 3-way dimming switch. XLINE units are available in 3 finishes; white, plated bronze or satin nickel. HLINE are post-painted white as standard.      :: features and ordering
